West Texas Country is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of our Cowboy/Western Heritage through Texas style music featuring Western Swing, Traditional Country, Cowboy Heritage, Old Classics and Texas Honky Tonk. WTC is a member of several Country/Western Music Organizations that are dedicated to preserving our Country Music Heritage and we are active participants in each organization.

WTC Music BMI is the publishing arm of West Texas Country. WTC is a licensed BMI Publisher. This is a free service to our independent artists who need their material published through a music licensing agency. There are several agencies such as BMI, ASCAP, SESAC, these are the most common. Reporting radio stations will not play songs or CDs that are not registered with one of these licensing agencies. WTC is licensed through BMI. This ensures that our independent artists' material can be legally played on all radio stations.

Backforty Roundup. WTC and Joe Baker's Backforty Bunkhouse Productions, (www.BackfortyBunkhouse.com), produces a periodical compilation CD (often called a "sampler") of songs from various artists that is sent out to 180 plus radio stations that play the various type of genres that WTC promotes and preserves plus it is downloadable from over 250 overseas stations in our database. Interested artists should contact WTC or Joe Baker at Roundup Promotions to inquire about having a song included on the compilation mail-out.

CD Sales. WTC offers artists a place to sell their CDs from our main distribution website, www.BackfortyBunkhouse.com. It gives the artist another outlet to get their material before to the public plus income from the sale of the CDs. We accept CDs on a consignment basis and take a small percentage of the sale for our efforts.

Transcription Services. Many artists have cassette tapes they still sell off the bandstand or at concerts/festivals. WTC offers a transcription service to transcribe these cassette albums to a Red Book master CD, which can be sent off to produce CDs of these tapes. Email West Texas Country for quotes.

Mobile Recording Studio. West Texas Country offers mobile recording services to on site locations needed by the user. Our systems include a 24-track M-Audio master and related support equipment and excellent mics for guaranteed quality. References availabe on request. Email West Texas Country for quotes.
